10034 Birlan = 1981 YG

The asteroid was discoverd by E. Bowellat the Anderson Mesa Station of Lowell Observatory. Mirel Birlan, of the Paris Observatory, Meudon, began his career in 1991 as astronomer at the Bucharest Observatory. He was conducted observing campaign on minor solar system bodies, and has involved in groundbased science of Rosetta mission asteroid targets. The name was suggested by A.M. Barucci.

Ovidiu Vaduvescu, friend and former colleague from Bucharest Observatory send me the maps of the sky containing the asteroid. Not by coincidence, I received the maps for my birthdaty. Thank you Ovidiu. Celestial Maps it was for more than two years one of the joint projects we developed.
